Brush Creek Church offers variety of events and activities for adults of all ages. We have categorized our adult ministries in Ladies, Men’s and Super Seniors.
Ladies Ministry
Sewing Circle, 7:00 PM the 3rd Thursday of each month (fellowship and service projects)
Women’s Retreat twice per year. In the fall the ladies join women from throughout the Mid-West for a weekend retreat at the Higher Ground Retreat Center on Kiser Lake, St. Paris, OH, for a weekend of fellowship, encouragement, and Bible study with a special guest speaker.
In the spring, our ladies enjoy a less formal “weekend away,” either at a local hotel or retreat center, including lots of time for pampering themselves.
Men’s Ministry
The Midwest Retreat is the 1st weekend of November, at Alexander Mack Retreat Center, Milford, IN. Men from our sister churches around the midwest gather to encourage each other in their Christian walk. The weekend includes a seminar on some issue significant to Christian men, and plenty of time to relax and visit. We also have occasional gatherings for all the men of our sister churches and retreats, as well as a special breakfast time for the men of our church.
We also have a monthly “Time of Prayer” with our sister churches. This is a very encouraging and special time of prayer and fellowship.
Super Seniors
Our 50+ crowd takes a short day trip the first week of every month, enjoying special sites in the tri-state area, along with good food and great company. They also carry out various ministry projects, like taking dinner to our shut-ins and members in nursing homes, and a variety of community service projects.
Fun and Fellowship
Bowling Team – We bowl in a co-ed church league on Tuesday evenings at Sherwood Lanes in Troy. We currently have one team, and are working on building a second.
Monthly Game Night – round-robin euchre, alternate game table for non-euchre players. Lots of food and great company; the 4th Friday of every month.
